  my last topic was 4 months ago about the 2 months of downers i'd gone through.

  so here i am into 6 months of it.

  in the uk kentucky fried chicken rebranded to kfc.

  customers did not like the work fried apparently.

  french connection uk found out by accident that fcuk resonated with customers in a big way.. .

  Corporations pay millions of dollars to consultants and marketing firms to re-brand them when sales (dividends) have fallen dangerously low.

  Maybe re-branding to JW, by dropping the jayhoover and the wiltess, will make them more "acceptable" to the masses?

  HMMM, but if there's no jayhoover and no witless, doesn't that just make them plain old' Christians, and doesn't all of Christendom do this too?

  The Great Watchtower Internet Retreat

  there has been a lot of talk about the new watchtower internet strategy.

  it appears that the watchtower is trying to improve their internet presence.

  this could be true, but i think there are good reasons to think that the opposite might be the case.. i suspect that this new internet announcement was primarily designed to draw attention away from the announcement that they are cutting down on the printing of the magazines again.. they are basically dropping two of their websites and redesigning a website on a url that has the lowest rating of the three.

  Oh yes it's all just a constant blessing raining down from jayhoover, isn't it.

  I wonder how many witlesses, who have completely avoided all forms of the Internet, are now going to log on? Now what?

  This will start a campaign to instruct R&F that all other internet is bad and only wash-towel internet is good; all the while thinking their warnings are heeded, because who's gonna defy the great and everlasting know-it-alls the GB? (Even when your home alone)

  But who follows every rule all the time? NO ONE.

  Do they not see the danger of loading a child’s pocket with money, shoving them in the door of the worlds largest candy store and leaving them to frolic ALONE?

  They're really climbing out on a wispy limb with this one.

  i levelled with the sister who continues to chat with me, telling her i will never return to the organisation and my reasons why.

  i hope i didnt hurt her but i have done what i could never do and tell her things the way they absolutely are.

  Is the bible really god's inspired word?

  the watchtower bible and tract society pretends that the bible "really is gods inspired word" -the watchtower march 1, 2010 p. 4-7. but is it true?

  if god has inspired the bible, how come the bible doesnt mention many important things?

  5/15 WT - WT Society Displays Condescending Attitude towards Marriage

  as most of us know the wt society has always claimed that it's dissapproved in god's sight to marry a non-jw .

  although they've never made it a disfellowshipping offense, any jw who marries outside the jw organization is looked at as " weak " or lacking " spirituality " and loses certain alleged " privileges " in the congregations.

  they use scriptures in the old testament as support for this.

  They constantly assault R&F intelligence.

  They assume we are too stupid to judge a good mate for ourselves and say only witlesses are acceptable. WOW, thanks for telling me 'cause I would've just dated someone, all the while getting to know them, but never have known they were evil unless you told me.

  Soooo insulting!

  Not only is this offensive, but also there is no guarantee that marrying a witless will ensure wedded bliss; I know plenty of mean and abusive witlesses and I certainly wouldn't want to be married to ay of them.

  Worst "New" Song

  song 92 "preach the word" has got to be the most sickening song in the new song book.

  we have had two years to reflect and get used to the new songs so the first flush of outrage and disgust is past.. now those of us who are still stuck in have to stand and mouth these travesties of an excuse for music.

  i love singing and can even enjoy singing stuff i don't have much time for.

  the watchtower residential property at 161 columbia heights that closed march 20 after a $3 million sale to investment and management firm sugar hill capital partners, is back on the market less than two weeks later as a rental.

  according to curbed, after a quick renovation, the newly named five-story walk-up 161 heights offers one bedrooms starting at $2,995 a month; one studio for $1,995 a month; and one 2br, asking $4,100.

  Territories, and Boundary Changes...Such a Confidential and Top Secret

  i can recall awhile ago when some of the elder's wives weer talking and hinting that the boundaries were being changed in our city.

  this affected 4 congregations.

  my faimily was shocked when we found out from a sister in another congregation whose husband in not even in the faith.. apparently she is in the gossip group.. how sad, that they won't tell you what the proposed territories would be like, and allow some discussions on it.
